Michael Wang

As a kid, stories captivated me, whether told by an adult or read in bed after lights-out.

They swept me away, ignited my imagination, and sparked a passion for creating. I remember countless hours spent, drawing scenes of my favorite heroes battling mythical creatures. I even made mini books with my own characters from pieces of folded paper.

Even though I’ve “grown up” and spent years as a designer helping other people tell their stories, the truth is, I’m still that kid at heart with my own tales to tell. That’s why I find joy in writing for children. I get to reimagine the magic of childhood, where families bond, communities thrive, and nature unfurls. I believe capturing these moments connect us, revealing who we are and offering hope for the future. And sharing my voice with children is the best part of it all, something I feel lucky to do.
